The Hartford Region YWCA chose Geomatrix to produce the video elements for their 19th annual luncheon on Tuesday April 8th, 2014. The event brought together nearly 1,500 diverse and successful women from the greater Hartford area for the largest networking luncheon in the state. The luncheon is YWCA’s most important annual fundraising event, with proceeds helping to fund YWCA’s many programs and services that benefit the lives of women and children in the Hartford region.
Geomatrix producer Patrick Volk worked to design characters and create a visual storyboard, then once the treatment got final approval, Geomatrix computer animator Tom Coben took the storyboard and brought it to life. The final result is a 2-1/2 minute animated program that powerfully depicts the challenges facing low-income women and children in the Hartford region and explains YWCA’s efforts to help girls and women succeed.
“Working with Geomatrix has been a great experience. The team was always responsive, professional and enthusiastic. From the beginning they understood our message and through clever animation brought our story to life. The response to the videos has been overwhelmingly positive. We can’t thank them enough.” Deborah Ullman, CEO YWCA Hartford Region
Ramon Alvero, event coordinator at Solomon & Associates who ensured the luncheon went off without a hitch concurred, “The video was certainly a success and you and your team did an amazing job.”
That’s what we like to hear!
